Wayne Coyne was commissioned to write a track for the movie Ender’s Game which subsequently inspired yet another fantastic record from The Flaming Lips. The EP is opened up with the title track and instantly displays the individuality of the band as they manage to combine proggy sounds with orchestral tones to create a tune that just seems to work. The futuristic feel to the record continues with If They Move, Shoot Em which really sets the mood, the pace is slowed down with the sublime Is The Black At The End Good, a brilliant heart-warming ballad. The atmospheric Think Like A Machine, Not A Boy by the incredibly catchy Wolf Children which has synths that just get into your head straight away. Assassin Beetle-The Dream Is Ending comes in at an epic ten minutes and has a sense of impending doom about it which is a great way to end a fine record that sees The Flaming Lips back to their best.
