The Michael Ainsley Band have followed their debut Cyclone by releasing their second album of the year, The Devils in the Detail, on Philophobia Music.
The album kicks off with Alcoholwhich is a full on indie rock party anthem and starts proceedings with a bang. The band carry on where they left off on their first album with tracks full of great riffs and fantastic shout along choruses as can be heard on the title track. Jerry Garcia has more of a punk rock feel to it, while Miss You In The Morning brings the tone down and breaks the record up really well. The Devils in the Detail continues with a couple more indie rock stompers before ending on the poignant Don’t Call My Blues. Overall The Michael Ainsley Band have produced another spectacular album and I don’t think they’d disappoint anyone if they continued to release such fine music at this prolific rate.
