Cloud Person-Monochrome Places

Cloud person began as a solo project of Pete Jordan’s but has since developed into a great folk collective from Seattle who have released the fantastic Monochrome Places.

The album opens up with a couple of upbeat folk songs before going into some more pignant moments like the majestic Across the Boroughs.  Old Demeter has a nice country feel to, accentuated by some great twangy guitars while clenched Teeth slows things down again.  Cloud Person also throw a touch of bluesy rock in with the brilliant Same Old Totembefore ending a great album with the aptly titled Men of Good Fortune.
