Soft Arrows new album, All Through the Sinew, begins with Beezark Mountains which starts off slowly before going into a nice bit of indie pop. Next up is the melodic Mute Forest followed by Gold Leaf, one of the stand out moments on the record full of fuzzy guitars and great hooks. Soft Arrows slow it down for the swooning Apparition Vision before going into the superb Spirit Animal Bones. Sunken Statues sees them edging back towards indie and has a great chorus, whilst The Arcade Grave is another highlight and has an intro that gets you straight into the track. The mellow Pink Zombie is another excellent track featuring some nice twangy guitars and finally Elephant Hideends the album really well with a bit of shoegaze. Soft Arrows debut album is a really good effort and everything I’ve heard from the Brighton band, so I’m looking forward to anything else that they do already.
