California’s Sex Dream have released their self-titled album which is of dreamy slacker pop music. Under Harm is a nice tune with understated vocals, A Better Dream offers up more of the same but still does enough to keep you engaged. Sex Dream start to mix it up a bit on the sublime Saints which features some good guitars, while Without A Wordbrings it back down a level and just swoons nicely along. Next is Sunbeam Blood Shine, a brilliant track which sees the band delve into indie pop territory, on I Do Sex Dream really go for it at times whilst it also has softer moments making it a well-balanced track. True To You is a slow churning number and shows that the band can do other things well, finally is Romance featuring some impressive guitars again as well as being one of the stand out tracks on the record.
