Cornish quartet, The Black Tambourines have obviously been influenced by the 60’s as is evident on opener Bad Days. The theme continues into the second track, White Album as well as a beach rock sound which really works for the band, this sound carries on into Cats Days, both of which are really good tracks. The band take a bit of a step away on 27-25 Blueswhich is the stand out track on the record as well as featuring really good riffs. Closing track Green sees The Black Tambourines really go for it which provides the heaviest and most fun sounding song on the records. Overall the EP has a really good retro sound to it without sounding like a cheap imitation of anything and The Black Tambourines are a band that people definitely need to check out.
