Honeycomb Bones-Honeycomb Bones EP

Hull duo, Honeycomb Bones kick off their self-titled EP with the gritty Catherine Wheel which is full of reverb and great riffs.  Next track Devil in Detail provides a more of the same while dipping its toe into a more bluesy sound which seems to work very well.  After slowing the pace on the excellent Penny Black Honeycomb Bones then end the EP with the rousing Illuminatorwhich concludes the record really well.  Although the record is not exactly polished it is a really good listen and you find the roughness adding to the experience, helping to make it a good EP.
