Gorgeous Bully-You Can’t Fight the Sickness with Tea and Biscuits

Plymouth five piece Gorgeous Bully have provided an EP full of lo-fi rock and roll gems.  A recurring theme within the music is a distinct feeling of being on the beach beside the sea.  Although there’s no particular new genres being explored on the record it still veers away from being too nostalgic allowing the listener to still enjoying without drifting off.  There’s a heavy 60’s garage rock influence on opener, Come Round, Drop Out which is quickly followed by bouncy surf pop number Forever Club.  Middle two tracks La Mort De La Belle and twenty Fucking Four are more relaxed moments but still are both really enjoyable.  The title track continues in a similar vein and then the EP ends with a real bang, with the excellent Three Load Duh.  Overall this is a good EP and is available on the bands Bandcamp page to download.
