The third solo album of the supper furry animals front man is named after a collection of miniature cosmetics picked while touring with the band for over a decade.
The record is quite understated and seems to have moved away from eccentricities that sometimes feature as part of Rhys’ work. Unfortunately it these things that detract from the album and makes it not quite live up to the expectations brought from his previous work.
There are some good things on here like Christopher Columbus however these are few and far between. While the album is decent there are not enough stand out moments to make it remarkable and most tracks end up sounding similar leaving it inevitably forgettable.
