Yuck-Yuck

Yuck have brought the 90’s to a new generation with an album that is indebted to bands like dinosaur Jr, sonic youth and pavement.  Given these influences it is highly appropriate that they first came to prominence playing at an ATP event headlined by Dinosaur Jr.
Yuck also contain two former member s of Cajun dance party who initially promised much but faded away after just one album.  Hopefully this won’t happen to Yuck as they have produced a good album full of catchy, evocative songs whilst adding to the current 90’s revival.
Even though the band are form London there is not an obvious sign of this in their music as a lot of their sound is influenced heavily by American bands.  Despite having no obvious geography in their music and seemingly taken their sound from other bands, they have shown enough to be taken seriously.  As well as this the last two tracks on the album are both very good and are a step away from this nostalgic sound and show that Yuck may well have something else up their sleeves for the future.
